Dog Info

Dog Description

Walter was pulled from a high kill shelter in New York. At the age of 4, Walter had developed severe aggression and could not be handled. He spent a month with our Executive Director learning how to live around people, but he was not making progress. We moved him to our sister organization, Scottish Terrier Club of New York Rescue, where experienced foster mom Judi took over his rehabilitation. Today, Walter can live freely among other dogs and people, and he has made a lot of progress learning how to be touched, groomed, and patted. He loves toys, which have been instrumental in ensuring his progress. He was adopted briefly, but returned to live permanently with Judi and her pack in New York. We are grateful to Judi and STCNY for teaching us about dogs like Walter and for caring for him for his lifetime.
