IN MEMORIAM

Einstein was surrendered to NAWR in 2013 after his owner became ill, and a friend of the owner contacted us.  He suffered from a condition called Granulomatous meningoencephalitis (GME), an inflammatory autoimmune disease. Because GME is a life-threatening disease, we estimated he had six months to live.  Einstein came to live with NAWR Director Alicia DiDuca and Westie Coconut.  More than two years later, Einstein developed bone cancer. We did not let him suffer from such a painful condition, and so he passed away loved and having lived a full life. We will miss our jolly giant!
